About Lisa:

Lisa ParisLisa Redditt Paris was born in Nancy, France to Mississippi parents. Her family returned to Mississippi where she began her study of art at the age of five under the tutelage of her French-German instructor, Madame Leny Wacht. After 13 years of study with Madame Wacht in Greenwood, Mississippi, Lisa accepted an art scholarship from Mississippi University for Women. After a year at MUW, she continued her studies at the University of Mississippi where she received a B.S. degree with an emphasis on art and interior design.

Enjoying the past years fully occupied as a wife and mother of three, Lisa now has the opportunity to build upon her training and passion for art. Her paintings include her love of flowers, landscapes, objects d’art. They are a knowing reflection of the Creator of all beautiful things.

Lisa has studied with Bob Tompkins, Greg Cartmel, Lucy Mazzefemo, Robert Johnson and Joe Anna Arnett. Her work is in many private collections throughout the South. She has enjoyed several gallery showings since her return to painting in December of 2000. Currently, Lisa paints with the Bob Tompkins group in Madison, Mississippi and in a private studio at home in Jackson, Mississippi. She is a member of Oil Painters of America, which is dedicated to the preservation of representational art,the Mississippi State Committee of the National Museum of Women in the Arts and The Mississippi Artist Guild.
